Irene S. Wright

Irene Simonne Wright, 75, of New Boston, NH, passed away on May 12^th, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 3^rd, 1948 to the late Alphonse & Rose (Janelle) Poisson, and would go on to marry her husband of 30+ years, Stephen Wright, with whom she shared two children.   

A devoted wife, mother, and a woman with a kind heart, Irene built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and precious memories with her family. She was a woman of immense strength, and her unwavering commitment to her family was evident in everything she did. She was a true matriarch who always put her family first and ensured that everyone was well taken care of, especially her beloved son Richard. Her love for her family was boundless, and she always made sure that they knew how much she loved them.

Irene had a passion for family gatherings, and her cooking was always the highlight of every event. She had a talent for bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome. Irene was also an avid gym-goer and loved to stay fit and healthy. She could often be found working in her yard, shovel-in-hand even in her 70’s, tending to her yard and garden. She always loved being outdoors and staying active.  

Irene will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her unwavering love for her family and her dedication to their wellbeing will forever be remembered. Her kind heart and infectious laughter will always be cherished. Irene's legacy will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched with her warmth and kindness.

Irene is predeceased by her husband Stephen Wright and her brothers Roger & Dicky Poisson. She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Wright and her spouse Melissa; son Richard Wright; sister Pauline Levesque; brother Moe Poisson; brother Eddie Poisson; grandson Nathan; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
