Irfan Nuri Bajraktari, 80, of Manchester, NH, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on January 6, 2025. Born in Pocest, Albania on February 6, 1944, he was a son of the late Nuri and Zarifka Bajraktari. He shared 30 years of marriage with his wife, Fllanxa (Dardeshi) Bajraktari.
Irfan was raised in Albania, moving to New Hampshire in 1957 and graduating from Manchester West High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served during the Vietnam War and earned several medals. Upon return to civilian life, he had a long career of over 30 years at Preview Products. Irfan enjoyed an early retirement and loved to spend his free time fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Pointer’s Fish and Game Club for many years. Above all else, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle who cherished time spent with his loved ones, especially visiting family in Albania.
Irfan is survived by his wife, Fllanxa Bajraktari of Manchester; his sons, Irfan Bajraktari Jr. and his wife Arlene of Allenstown and Nuri Bajraktari and his wife Abbey of Manchester; his grandchildren, Gabrielle Baker of Loudon, Robyn Bajraktari and her husband DJ of Hillsborough, and Sandra Murphy and her husband Andrew of Allenstown; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Xzander, Rosalynn and Owen; his sisters, Kumrije Dedja and Lulzime Karasani of Albania; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Haxhi and Petriz Bajraktari, and his sister, Poqize Qoku.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14th from 5-7PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. Burial with military honors will take place on Wednesday, January 15th at 12PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
