Isabelle Bell M. (Mitchell) Stewart, 94, formerly of 974 Iris Street and currently of 29 Center Street (Bel Air Nursing Home), Goffstown, died on June 30, 2004 at Catholic Medical Center. She was born in Nashua on November 10, 1909, the daughter of Alfred and Marie (Cote) Mitchell and had lived in Worcester, MA and Amesbury, MA for many years before moving to Manchester in 1944. She was one of the founding members and a life member of the Manchester Artists Association. She was also a former regent for the Catholic Daughters of America, Chapter 1220. She was a charter member of the St. Catherines Ladies Guild and one of the founders of the church bridge group. More recently, she had been a parishioner of St. Patrick Church. She was a member of AARP and the Manchester Womens Club. She was the widow of Thomas V. Stewart who died in 1960. Family members include her sister, Annette Carey of FL; a half brother, Robert Mitchell of Amesbury, MA; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday July 10th at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick Church. Urn burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of ones choice. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
