Isidore W. Erwin, 87, died October 23, 2006, at Pilgrim Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, in Peabody, MA.
Mr. Erwin was born on July 29, 1919, in Salem, MA, the son of the late William and Arthemise (Jean) Erwin. For most of his married life, Mr. Erwin was a Raymond, NH resident. He moved to Beverly 10 years ago, most recently residing in Peabody for the past 2 years.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Erwin was employed as a machinist for Ruggles & Clechman.
He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army.
Members of his family include 4 sons, William Erwin, of Derry, NH; David Erwin, of Hooksett, NH; Edward Erwin, of Colorado; Leo Erwin, of Manchester, NH; 4 daughters, Elaine Mont, of Virginia; Donna Roberts, of Manchester, NH; Jane Bellerose, of Florida; Debra Goodman, of Manchester, NH; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Roland, of Massachusetts; Ronald Erwin, of California; nieces and nephews. Mr. Erwin was predeceased by his wife, Jeannette A. (Leblanc) Erwin, who died in August 2004.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, October 26, from 9:30 AM – 11 AM at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home at 11 AM. Committal prayers and burial will follow in Holbrook Cemetery, in Candia, NH.
