Jacqueline "Jackie" A. (Messier) Brinn, 77, of 12 Liane Street, died May 20, 2003 at Catholic Medical Center. She was born in Claremont on April 21, 1926, the daughter of Laurier "Bob" and Marie (Garneau) Messier and had been a Manchester resident for most of her life. She attended local schools and graduated from Hesser Business College. She was a stenographer for the Benjamin Mate Fashion Company and later worked as a secretary for Granite State Machine Company for several years. She was the first female Commissioner of the Board of Voter Registration, a position she held for 22 years. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Transfiguration and a long-time devotee of Precious Blood Monastery. She was predeceased by a son, Gary Brinn who died in 1952. Family members include her husband of 57 years, Henry Brinn; two sons, Dennis Brinn of Allenstown and Stephen Brinn of Manchester; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 9:00 in the Church of the Transfiguration. After cremation, urn burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
