Jacquelyn F. (Smith) DeClercq, 66, of Billerica, MA, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2022 in Nashua, NH with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Fort Monroe, VA on March 17,1956, the daughter of John and Carol (Whittemore) Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Gerald Smith of Amesbury, MA in 2021 and her aunt Elinor Payne of Grand Prairie, TX in 2018.
Professionally, she enjoyed a long and successful career as a purchasing agent in the technology industry. Through her work, she formed many lifelong friendships that gave her a great sense of happiness and joy.
Personally, Jackie was a shining example of human kindness with a warm and generous spirit. She was always the first to reach out a hand to help those in need whether she knew them or not.
Most notably, Jackie adopted and cared for many elderly kitties in her lifetime so they could live out their retirement years in comfort and bask in unconditional love. She also loved visiting and spoiling her grandkitties Olivia and Finn.
To those lucky enough to have known her, she will be widely remembered as having a sense of humor best described as witty, wicked and silly. Beyond that, she will also be remembered as compassionate and fiercely loyal to those she loved.
Family members include her daughter Nichole DeClercq and her partner Ericka Avery of Manchester NH; her sister Valerie Clark and brother-in-law Donald Clark of Nashua NH. Additional family members include her uncle, Larry Payne, cousins Vicky (Payne) Carroll and Michael Payne and their extended families, all hailing from Texas.
In lieu of services and flowers, donations to the animal rescue of your choice in Jackie's name will be greatly appreciated.
