Jacques Denis Houde, 78 of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away on September 21, 2026. He was born on April 6, 1948, in St-Jacques-le-Majeur-de-Wolfestown, Canada, Jacques was the son of Arthur and Bernadette Houde, he was one of sixteen siblings.

Jacques dedicated 55 years to his career as a skilled union carpenter, working for Admiral Drywall and retiring with Manganaro NE in early 2000’s He took great pride in his trade and was a hard worker. Above all his achievements, his greatest devotion was to his family. After retirement he spent his summers in NH and winters in Florida. He was the beloved husband of Yvelise for 54 years and a deeply proud, supportive father to David (and his wife, Jessica) and Sonia (and her significant other Robert). His legacy of love and guidance will forever be cherished by his adored grandchildren, Henry, Samuel, Rose, and Grace.

An avid outdoorsman, Jacques found great joy in the simplicity of fishing, tending to his garden, enjoying playing golf, snowmobiling and creating lasting memories with those he loved. He will forever be a ray of sunshine in so many people’s lives.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Lung Association.
