Jacques “Jack” E. Pariseau, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away on December 28, 2024, in Manchester, NH, at the age of 88. Born on February 11, 1936, in Manchester NH to the late Horace & Antoinette (Gauthier) Pariseau, he would go on to marry his best friend Joan Brousseau, with whom he shared over 68 years of marriage.

Jack’s legacy will be remembered through his commitment to his family, friends and community. He spent his life in the greater Manchester area and completed his education at West High School before proudly taking college courses at New Hampshire College. Jack bravely served in the U.S. Air Force and the Navy Reserves before embarking on a distinguished career as a firefighter, dedicating 19 years to the Manchester Fire Department, where he retired as a Lieutenant. His commitment to public service extended beyond his firefighting career; Jack also held positions at Saint Anselm College, Citizens Bank, Hillsborough County Court District, and most recently Market Basket.

Jack was known for his vibrant personality, often described as a jokester who loved making others laugh. He had an unmatched ability to make those around him feel happy and comfortable. Affectionately nicknamed “Pep”, he took immense pride in his family and the bond shared between Jack and his family will be cherished forever. Together, they raised three children and were the grandparents and great grandparents to a growing family who was the light of Jack’s life.

Those who knew Jack will remember an avid sports fan, particularly of the Red Sox and Patriots. If the Sox were playing, one could be sure Jack was watching intently. He also loved any outdoor activity, camping with family, and had a unique passion for puzzle-making, especially when it came to the world’s tiniest puzzles.

Jack was also an active member of various associations, including the Manchester Firefighters Retirement Association, the Manchester Firefighters Relief Association (past president), founding member of the Manchester Firefighters scholarship fund, the NH State Firefighter Retirement Association, and the American Legion Post 43. Always busy, he also, contributed to his community through volunteer work at CMC and the Hillsborough County Nursing Home.

Jack is predeceased by his son Gary Pariseau, his sisters Jacqueline Demers and Francis Roux, and his brother Jean Pariseau. He is survived by his beloved wife Joan Pariseau, his daughter Debbie Blair and her husband Scott, his son Jacques Pariseau II and his wife Barbara, his granddaughters, Courtney, Ashley, and Brittany, as well as his step-granddaughter, Kara, and his 11 great-grandchildren: Brayden, Cameron, Jackson, Maxwell, Maeve, Grace, Eleanor, Samantha, Emmet, Ellie, and Cooper, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Calling Hours for Jack will be held on Friday, January 3, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium – 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester NH, with a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. His burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester at 1:00 PM.

The family would like to extend their appreciation for the care and compassion extended to Jack from the staff at the skilled care unit at Hillsborough County nursing home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s memory can be made to the New Hampshire Firefighters Relief Association or the Hillsborough County Nursing Home Activity Fund.
