James (Jim)Alan Christie,90, died February 23, 2025, at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH. He was born on December 30, 1934, in Barre, VT, the son of James Forbes Christie and Helen Lawliss Christie.
He was the husband of Barbara Rivers Christie. They were married on February 10,1962, in Williamstown, VT.
Dad attended Spaulding High School in Barre, VT, and in later years earned an Associates Degree from Columbia College and a Bachelors Degree from Franklin Pearce College.
Dad served his country with honor and integrity for 28 years while in the US Army. Our Mom and Dad enjoyed their retirement years in FL. They took cruises, traveled and enjoyed the friends and family in the Dade City area. They returned to NH when the great grandchildren started to arrive. He most enjoyed spending time with his large family which includes 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Many summer weekends were spent with the family enjoying cook outs and pool time.
He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Rivers Christie who passed unexpectedly May 14, 2024. He was also predeceased by his Sister, Lois Stone, Grandson Ryan Christie and Son in Law Daniel Chase.
He is Survived by:

His Sister in Law Wilma Thompson and Brother in Law Ed Rivers
His Friend from First Grade and the person who introduced him to our Mom, Phil Button
His Children Wendy Chase of Pembroke, Scott and Tina Christie of Salisbury, Doree and Robert Sargent of Andover, Marc and Cindy Christie of Epsom and Jay Christie and Colleen Burns of Northfield.
His Grandchildren, Daniel J Chase, Scott and Lindsay Christie, James and Kaitlyn Christie, Matthew and Alison Sargent, Michael Sargent, Mikayla Sargent, Lauren Christie and Ben Kibbitt, Eric and Alisha Christie, Jacob Christie
His Great Grandchildren, Taylor and Charlotte Christie, Reagan and Mia Sargent, Rosie and Warren Christie and Adalyn and Amelia Christie. In addition to many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the Family
