James F. Clement, 71, of Putney, VT passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at his residence. He was born on June 30, 1944 in Charlemont, MA; the son of the late John E. and Myrtle (Coolbrith) Clement.
Jim was along time Putney resident. He was employed at Readboro Chair Shop for many years. He then worked for Putney Paper for over 40 years, until his retirement. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and loved spending time with his family.
He is predeceased by three siblings, Marjorie Clement, John Clement, Jr., and Barbara Surprise.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Khristine (Blood) Clement; Lauria Lake of Brattleboro; Doris Coolbrith of Whitingham; Deloris Young of Vernon; Sam Clement of Brattleboro; Mary Ellen Howland of Georgia; Marion Priest of Boston; Korienne McLean of Orange, MA; and Joe Clement of Hinsdale, NH; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Community Bible Chapel, 107 Atwood St, Brattleboro. Refreshments will be served following the service. The KER-WESTERLUND FUNERAL HOME, Brattleboro, VT is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorial donations to assist with final expenses.
