JAMES HRUBIEC AUBURN, NH - James "Jim" Hrubiec, 50, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 11, 2008. Jim was born in New Britain, Connecticut, on May 5, 1958, the son of Laura (Kissel) and the late Henry Hrubiec. He moved to New Hampshire in 1985, shortly after his marriage. He was a computer analyst for many years with Silknet Software, before he opened his own graphics and custom apparel business. Jim was a devoted husband and father. He loved snowmobiling, racing and his family. He was a member of the Deerhead Sportsman Club, in Hooksett, NH and A.P.E. Racing Family, in Auburn, NH. Members of his family include, his wife Mary (Avery) Hrubiec, of Auburn, NH; his two children, Katherine and David Hrubiec, of Auburn, his mother, Laura Kissel, of Southington, Connecticut; his brothers, William Hrubiec, of Wallingford, Connecticut; and Robert Hrubiec, of Unionville, Pennsylvania, and his sister, Linda Holtz, of Roswell, Georgia, and 11 nieces and nephews. IN HIS LIFE: He was predeceased by his father, Henry Hrubiec, his stepfather, Joseph Kissel, and his brother, Thomas Hrubiec. Calling hours will be Monday, July 14, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. Calling hours will be held again on Tuesday, July 15, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, in Berlin, Connecticut. Committal prayers and burial will be held on Wednesday morning, 10 A.M. at South Burying Ground Cemetery, in Berlin, Connecticut. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The American Red Cross, Aphieresis Department, 425 Reservoir Avenue, Manchester, NH 03104-4458 or to the charity of one's choice, in memory of Jim.
