James H. Johnston

James H. Johnston, 55, of 22 Charles Bancroft Highway, Litchfield, NH died in Moultonborough, NH on June 24, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Keene on October 15, 1946, the son of Warren L. and Mary (Nason) Johnston and was raised in Massachusetts, then moved to Litchfield, NH 23 years ago. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and also served in Thailand. James worked 19 years as a system analyst for ACS Defense Inc., in Burlington, Ma. He was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson, NH and loved tennis, golf and fishing. James enjoyed spending time with his family. Family members include his wife of 23 years Jacqueline (Labrie) Johnston of Litchfield, three sons, Corey and his wife Jodi Johnston of Bristol, NH, Todd and his wife Colleen Ellis of Londonderry, NH and Chad Ellis of Rochester, NY, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Adrien and Theresa Labrie, Sr., of Moultonboro, five grandchildren; Kyle Johnston, Amanda Johnston, Noah Ellis, Elijah Ellis and Abigail Ellis, two brother-in-laws Adrien and his wife Dickie Labrie, Jr., of Moultonboro, NH and Norman and his wife Susan Labrie of South Carolina, ten sister-in-laws, Gisele and her husband Donald Forcier of Florida, Denise and her husband David Desrosiers of Hollis, NH, Gloria and her husband David Winn of Nashua, NH, Celeste and her husband Robert Schmitt of Raymond, NH, Lydia and her husband Robert Belanger of Nashua, Anna and her husband Mark Nickles of Hudson, NH, Patricia and her husband Michael Flynn of Nashua, NH, Marie Britton of Litchfield, Angela and her husband Jeffrey Bush of Stoddard, NH and Laura and her husband Paul Soule of Litchfield, several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. SERVICES: Relatives and friends are welcomed to a memorial gathering at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. The funeral service wil be held on Friday morning at 11 o'clock in St. John the Evangelist Church, Hudson, NH.
