James N. Nikolopoulos, 75, of 184 Woodcrest Court, died March 7, 2005 at the Elliot Hospital. He was born in Kidonies, Grevena Greece on March 15, 1929, the son of Nicholas James and Alexandra (Papatoliou) and was a Manchester resident since 1947. He worked for ATT for over 40 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. He was a member and secretary of the Pan-Macedonian Association. He loved to fish, hike, garden and spending time anywhere outdoors where there was running water. He also enjoyed traveling. He was a very kind and gentle man and was called Jimmy Nick by those that knew and loved him. Family members include his wife, Sophia (Moukerezi) Nikolopoulos; three sons, Nicholas James Nikolopoulos of Leesburg, VA, Peter James Nikolopoulos of South Jordan, UT and Danny Alexander Nikolopoulos of Greece; four grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. The Trisageon service will take place in the funeral home at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 10:30 in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pan-Macedonian Association, Inc., Thessaloniki Alexandra Chapter, 450 Lowell Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
