James T. Van Law

James T. Van Law, 63, of 122 Hucking Neck Road, Centerville, MA died December 12, 2002 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born in Decatur, IL on July 19, 1939, the son of William and Wilma (Erwin) Van Law, Sr. He resided for many years in Decatur and lived in Suffield, CT for seven years. He was also a resident of Amherst, NH for ten years before moving to Massachusetts in 1988. For the past twelve years, he was a relator for Buyer Broker of Cape Cod in Massachusetts. Throughout most of his career, he worked in retail. While a resident of Suffield, CT, he owned a retail store called Van Law's. He was also a regional Vice President for Izod. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Family members include his wife of 42 years, Eileen (Alcorn) Van Law; a son, James T. Van Law, Jr., of Glastonbury, CT; two daughters, Janet E. Moses of Merrimack, NH and Jennifer W. Thibeault of Nashua, NH; six grandchildren; a brother, William Van Law, Jr. of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial service will take place at the Amherst Congregational Church, Church Street in Amherst, NH on Monday afternoon at 1:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center in care of the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756 Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester, NH is in charge of arrangments. .
