Jane (Sellmeyer) Berube, 83, of Manchester, Manchester, died March 26, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Knobel, Arkansas on September 13, 1925, the daughter of Francis and Helen (Dahmus) Sellmeyer and had been a Manchester resident since 1949. Earlier in her career she had worked as nurse anesthetist. She was an avid flower and vegetable gardener. She loved feeding the birds in her yard and also doing needlework. She was a long-time communicant of the Parish of the Transfiguration. In Her Life: She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Normand C. Berube in 2002 who had been a prominent orthopedic surgeon. Family members include two sons, Robert Berube and his wife Kathleen of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and Thomas Berube and his wife Maureen of Hooksett; two daughters, Anne Sage of Manchester and Rita Berube of Etna; six grandchildren, Katherine Harbaugh, Russell Sage, Timothy Berube, Allison Berube, Alaric Harbaugh and Benjamin Berube; and nephews, nieces and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Parish of the Transfiguration. Committal services will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
