Janet Elizabeth (Ross) Anspach, 78, of Sarasota, FL passed away on Friday, January 4, 2012 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in FL. She was born in Newton, MA on April 21, 1934, the daughter of the late George and Naomi (Shaw) Ross.
Janet is a former resident of Norwalk, CT. She spent time as a Brownie Leader, a Cub Scout Den Mother, was involved with the PTA, was a former Justice of the Peace, a volunteer at the Kara Museum, was involved in the Fresh Air Programs, and read to make tapes for the blind. Janet loved to play tennis, and was an avid skier.
She is survived by her seven children, David, Chris, Kathy, Laurie, Melissa, Noelle and Jenifer; a brother; George Ross of Newton MA; 11 grandchildren; and a great grandson.
All Services including burial will be held in Vermont in the spring. The Ker-Westerlund Funeral Home, 57 High St., Brattleboro, VT 05301 is in charge of arrangements.
