Janet Irish Martin

Janet I. “Jan” Martin, 75, of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away on September 13, 2026 after a long illness with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born in Staten Island, New York, Jan graduated from Tottenville High School and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She married Larry Martin in 1975, and they made their home in Manchester. For many years, she served as office administrator of Larry’s CPA firm. Jan was a born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ who loved reading her Bible. She and Larry fellowshipped at Southside Bible Fellowship, in Manchester, where a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 1 pm. Some of Jan’s happiest days were spent with Larry and their three sons at the family’s oceanfront cottage in Freeport, Maine. She loved picking blueberries from the bushes there, baking breads, pies, and blueberry buckle, and sailing with her family on Casco Bay. Jan was laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester, surrounded by her immediate family. She is survived by her husband, Larry; their sons, Peter, Stephen, and Richard; eleven grand children; and, her brother David Irish.
