Janet Rockhill

Janet Rockhill (75) of Manchester NH, passed away peacefully on July 11th, 2020 at her home as she wished. Born on June 3rd, 1945 to Roy & Rita (Carr) Coons in Brooklyn, NY, she later moved to New Hampshire in 1984 where she would spend her life with her best friend and life partner George Rockhill, with whom she shared over 40 years of loving marriage.

Those who knew Janet will remember her as a sweet, caring and quick-witted mother who loved her family immensely. She took great pride in raising her 3 children and making her house a home and loved to crochet afghans. She always enjoyed a good book, and also loved dancing, especially to Frank Sinatra, as she is assuredly dancing with George in heaven.

Janet has joined her husband George Rockhill; and brother Robert Coons in heaven. She is survived by her son Daniel O'Hagan; daughters Karen Drapeau and Jen Sowden and her husband Ryan; sister Barbara Morrissey; brother Ronald O'Toole; grandchildren Dale Whaley and his wife Michelle, Michael Sowden and Ella Sowden; as well as 2 great-grandchildren and many other extended family members and friends.

Janet will be laid to rest on Friday, July 17th at 12:30 PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy. Boscawen, NH. A celebration of her life will follow immediately afterwards at Chantilly's Restaurant, 1112 Hooksett Rd. Hooksett, NH.
