Janice B. Cominoli

Janice (Barber) Cominoli formerly of Townshend, VT died October 12, 2015 at Pine Heights at Brattleboro Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brattleboro following a period of declining health. She was born April 22, 1932 the daughter of the late Harold H. and Florence (Worden) Barber.

She attended Leland and Gray Seminary, graduating class of 1950. After graduation, she worked in the printing industry in Amherst, MA and Brattleboro, VT. Later she worked as a cook at Vernon Elementary School, a clerk at School House Grocery and was a trustee of the Vernon Free Library. In her senior years she volunteered at the Valley Health Council Thrift Shop in Townshend.

Janice married Charles E. Cominoli of Greenfield, MA on July 4, 1958. He predeceased her in February 1990.

She is survived by their five children, Steven (Mona) Cominoli of Ware, MA, Marie Class of Columbus, OH, Linda (Fred) Burdick of Newfane, VT, Karen (Wes) Cromack of Hinsdale, NH and Brian Cominoli of Brattleboro; eleven grandchildren, Edwin (Melissa) Cominoli, Sonja (Jay) Gouin, David (Pauline) Cominoli, Bridgette Class, Emily Class, Denise Panciera, Jonathan (Darci) Cromack, Bethany Burdick, Daniel Burdick, Melaina Cominoli, and Katelynn Cominoli; eleven great grandchildren, Lexi, Kira, Tiara, Dylan, Brian, Neal, Zac, Lyna, Conor, Riley and Nicholas, a sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Richard Miller of Sun City, AZ as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 from 4 to 7p.m. at Ker-Westerlund Funeral Home in Brattleboro. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10AM at Townshend United Church of Christ, 30 Common Rd., Townshend, VT. A private burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Townshend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Cottage Hospital, PO Box 216, Townshend, VT, 05353-0216.
