Janis E. Sleasman

Janis Ellen Sleasman, 84, of Manchester, NH died peacefully surrounded by family on March 2, 2023 at the Elliot Hospital.  Janis was born November 17, 1938 in Kenton Ohio, to the late Lee A. and Maxine (Pugh) Stoddard.    

Janis was a graduate of Hardin Northern High School in Dola, Ohio.  She was employed at RCA before marrying Franklin R. Sleasman on November 23, 1958, and becoming a housewife.  Together they raised four children. Janis kept busy with a variety of hobbies throughout the years including baking, knitting, crocheting, making quilts, and working on puzzles.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed her Kindle in her later years.

Janis is survived by her sons, Perry of Londonderry, NH, Jeffrey of Manchester, NH, and David of Toledo, Ohio, one daughter, Vickie Smith of Manchester, NH; as well as her grandchildren, Caitlin, Eric, Scott, Amanda, and Jennifer.  She is also survived by her sister, Kay L. Calmes of Fostoria, Ohio, several  great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years who passed away on January 2, 2023, her sister Maxine L. Clingerman, and daughter in law Brenda Sleasman.

SERVICES: There are no calling hours or services planned at this time. Interment will take place at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay, OH.
