Jason M. Stys, 48, died peacefully, Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at his home in Manchester, New Hampshire. Born November 26, 1971 in Methuen, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Teddy J. Stys and Marie (Lizak) Hodgdon. Jason was also predeceased by his stepfather, Salvatore J. Alaimo.
He attended St. Mary's School, Lawrence and was a graduate of Essex Agricultural and Technical High School, Danvers, Massachusetts.
Known for his outgoing personality and unique sense of humor, Jason was a skilled handyman and landscaper. Most recently employed by Wakefield-Vette, Jason worked for many years as the owner-operator of Oak Tree Property Services in Manchester.
Jason "Jay" is beloved husband of Nanette (Baker) Minahan-Stys. He also survived by his children, Maeve D. Stys, Hayley E. Minahan and Damian A. Minahan with whom he resided, and his mother, Marie Hodgdon of Merrimack, New Hampshire.
Jason leaves his sisters, Roxann, Mrs. Richard Carter of Methuen, Massachusetts; Mary E. Stys of Salem, NH; Catherine, Mrs. Peter McLaughlin of Milford, NH and Alice, Mrs. Stephane Landry, of Merrimack, N.H. In addition, he is survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
He is fondly remembered for his love of cooking, football, music and most especially, dancing. It was his custom to include dancing with Nanette as part of his daily routine.
SERVICES: At the request of the family there are no calling hours. Jason will be remembered at a Celebration of his life at a later date.
