Bedford-Jean Ann Biron, 74, of Bedford, died on November 16th at her home surrounded by her husband of 52 years and family members after a very courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born June 5, 1935 in Adams, MA the daughter of Leo and Jeannette Willett. She was raised in Cheshire, MA and graduated from Adams High School. She continued her education at Boston University School of Nursing and received her Bachelors degree in June 1957. Upon graduation she worked for the Visiting Nurses of Boston, MA. Following the birth of her first son she reluctantly left nursing to become a military house wife and mother eventually raising five sons and supporting her husband�s military career. After eighteen years as a mother and house-wife she returned to a nursing career by completing a 6 month refresher course at John Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Jean Ann practiced for many years both in Baltimore, MD and at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH as a medical surgical nurse, a job she was very passionate about. She was a long time member of Manchester Country Club. She also loved finishing antique furniture by hand, braiding rugs, taking art classes at the Art Institute, quilting, playing bridge, gardening, friendships, and raising a family. She is survived by her husband, Dr. George A Biron and five sons; Dr. George Biron, Jr., of Boston, MA and granddaughter Taylor, David Biron and wife Erica of Gulf Breeze, FL with grandchildren Melina and Ross, Mark Biron of Vieques, PR, John Biron of Austin, TX, James Biron and wife Michele with granddaughters Bronte and Sawyer of Bedford, NH along with several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 20th at 11:00 AM at St Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Rd, Bedford. All are invited after Mass to the Manchester Country Club to celebrate her life. Jean Ann has requested smiles, laughter, and one more golf lesson. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to VNA Nursing and Hospice, 33 Commercial St, Suite 401, Manchester, NH 03101 or the charity of ones choice. Burial will be held by family members in Cheshire MA at a later date.
