Jean H. Cruikshank

Jean H. Cruikshank, 89, of Concord passed away peacefully at home Saturday, September 23, 2017.
Jean was born in Constable, NY November 4, 1927. She graduated from Illion High and completed business school. From there she went on to work at the New England Telephone Company.
Jean was instrumental in starting the business, Cruikshank & Co. and was a bookkeeper for the company for many years while also raising her children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved books, gardening, birds, crossword puzzles, shopping, and was always up for a family gathering.
Jean is survived by her children Deborah Chadwick and husband Michael of Calais, ME, Holly LaRochelle and husband Norman of Chichester, NH, Laurie Guay of Concord, NH, and John Cruikshank of Concord, NH; nine grandchildren Laura, Katelyn, Arie, Kelsey, Jay, Andrew, Matthew, Michael, and Kayla; eight great grandchildren Tristan, Seamus, Aden, Asher, Cassius, Braden, Austin, and Lincoln; and longtime best friend and shopping buddy, Mary Souther. She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Penny (Gureau) Hungerford of Malone, NY, a sister Ruth Heere of South Bethlehem, NY, and her ex-husband William J. Cruikshank of Franconia, NH.
Her family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Julia Burdick and staff as well as the CRVNA hospice team that helped with Jean's care.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life which will be held at Jean's home on October 14th 1:00-4:00pm.
