Jean-Guy "Ti-Guy" Falardeau, 80, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully on November 24 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 22 1944, in Saint-Ephrem-de-Beauce, Canada to the late Damien Falardeau and Lucille (Dubord) Falardeau, he would eventually settle in Manchester, NH but always kept close ties to his family in Canada.
Jean-Guy dedicated many years of his career to the MA Carpenters Union, making significant contributions to the fields of steel construction in Boston and at the Olympic Stadium in Canada. In his younger years, he also worked diligently on his family farm, instilling in himself a strong work ethic that would guide him throughout his life.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jean-Guy had a zest for life that was evident in his numerous hobbies and interests. He cherished ice fishing, particularly at Lake Winnipesaukee, and always enjoyed hunting. His passion for fast cars was well-known, as he loved both collecting and driving them, creating treasured memories with family during those drives. His practical skills in construction and his love for the Boston Bruins were complemented by a fondness for spending winters in Florida. Additionally, Jean-Guy had a remarkable ability to memorize important dates and numbers, a skill that endeared him to his friends and family.
Throughout his life, Jean-Guy took pride in his community involvement. He was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus for over 15 years and held lifetime memberships with both the Rimmon Club and the Alpine Club in Manchester, NH.
Jean-Guy is survived by his three daughters: Diane Kelley, Manon Falardeau (and her husband Robbie), and Stephanie Morrison, and his girlfriend of 33 years, Rosalynn Buteau. Jean-Guy had 3 daughters with his ex-wife Lorraine Girard, with whom he was married for 17 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Ginette Falardeau, sister Rejeanne Falardeau, sister Carmen Falardeau (and her husband Marc), and brother Rejean Falardeau (and his wife Lynn). His legacy carries on through his grandchildren, Patrick Kelley and Henri Morrison; his step-grandchildren, Amy, Christopher, and Hannah; and his great-grandchild, Nolan Kelley, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Jean-Guy was preceded in death by his father, Damien Falardeau, and mother, Lucienne (Dubord) Falardeau, as well as his brothers Laurien Falardeau, Jean-Noel Falardeau, Eve Falardeau, and his nephew Eric Falardeau.
