Jean-Guy Goulet, Sr., 56, of 306 McGregor Street, died November 14, 2005 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He was born in Stratford, PQ Canada on November 22, 1948, the son of Hermienegilde and Irene (Chenard) Goulet and had been a Manchester resident since 1961. He was a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam War where he was stationed in Korea. He had been employed as a carpenter with Central Ceiling, Inc., for the past fifteen years. He was a long-time parishioner of Ste. Marie Church. Jean-Guy was a member of the Rimmon Club and was an avid pool player. He was a loving husband, great father and wonderful grandfather. Family members include his wife of 35 years, Martine (Bessette) Goulet; his mother of Manchester; a son, Jean-Guy JJ Goulet, Jr., of Manchester; two daughters, Mrs. Matthew (Sandy) Hogan of Pembroke and Mrs. Mark (Tina) Goulet-Surrette of Milford; one granddaughter; a brother, Paul Goulet of Manchester; two sisters, Alexandrine Cote of Concord and Denise Dion of FL and VT; and several nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. In His Life: He loved his only grandchild, Madison Starr Hogan of Pembroke whom he considered his miracle granddaughter. Calling hours will be a Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 in Ste. Marie Church. Internment with military honors will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
