Nashua, NH—Jean E. Jones, 83, passed away on October 29, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was the daughter of the late Fredrick N. and Thelma E. (Niles) Oliver. She was born in Weymouth, MA and raised in Rochester, NH. Jean was Secretary of the Spaulding High School class of 1948, and orchestrated the annual class reunion for many years. After high school, she graduated from Burdett Business College in Boston.
Prior to her retirement, Jean worked for Norwood Real Estate in Amherst, Label Art in Wilton, North East Psychiatric in Manchester, PT Dutch Trading Company in Nashua, and Digital Equipment Corporation in Nashua. In her spare time, Jean loved playing bingo, visiting Foxwoods Casino, antiquing, gardening, and going to the beach. She will be remembered as sweet, kind, selfless, generous, and thoughtful. She was an unbelievably good listener, a great cook, and a fantastic mother and grandmother. Her family was paramount to her, and she will be missed very much.
She is survived by her children, Robin (husband Douglas) Frank of Topsfield, MA, Alison (husband Eric) Barricklow of Bedford, NH, Jonathan Teger of Brookline, NH, and Kim Teger of VA, her grandchildren, Tyler Frank, Rebecca Frank, Kyle Andersson, Olivia Andersson, Jack Teger, Alex Teger, and Adam Teger, along with several nieces, nephews, and many good friends.
In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her first husband, Jack Teger, her second husband, William R. Jones, and her brother Fred N. Oliver.
Services: A gathering will be held on Saturday, November 8th from 11am – 12pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, NH, with a memorial service starting at 11:30am. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested all donations to be sent to Hospice of South Carroll County, P.O. Box 1620, Wolfeboro, NH 03894 in Jean's memory.
