Jean Marie (McNulty) Morrison

Jean Marie McNulty Morrison passed away peacefully on February 4, 2016, in Manchester, NH. Born on July 24, 1931 in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Charles J. McNulty and Helen Kelly McNulty. Sister to Helen O'Brien of Needham, Massachusetts.

Jean moved to Manchester, New Hampshire with her husband, Robert A. Morrison, to raise her family that grew to include eight children, and 14 grandchildren. As the matriarch of this clan, she created a home where everyone that entered, was considered family. All knew her as a great listener, never to pass judgement, and always with a generous and kind heart.

Her days were devoted to the happiness and care of her friends and family. Jean taught by example, that time with those you love should always take priority. She never told anyone she was too busy to stop for a cup of coffee or a game of cards. Cribbage, Michigan Rummy, Double Solitaire and Hearts were her favorites and yielded thousands of intimate conversations, as she shared her quiet, but always powerful words of wisdom between hands.

There was always music in her home, a jigsaw puzzle in some state of completion, an open door to all the stray dogs her children came home with, and a not so secret stash of chocolate on hand. She lived her life simply and with grace.

She is survived by her forever grateful children, Denise LaPointe, Paul Morrison and wife Kelly, Bruce Morrison and wife Ruth, John Morrison and wife Kathy, Mark Morrison and wife Christine, Carol Cain and husband Mike, Thomas Morrison and wife Pamela, and Peter Morrison will miss her dearly. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael, Gregory, Kelsey, Sean, Colin, Erin, David, Lauren, Kevin, Patrick, Caitlin, Megan and Walter will always remember her unconditional love.

She is predeceased by her husband Robert, her brother, Charles A. McNulty, and grandson Daniel, whom she now holds in her loving arms.

Services: A Memorial Gathering will be held from 10-11AM on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Avenue in Manchester. A Memorial Service will immediately follow the gathering at 11am on Friday at the Funeral Home. Interment prayers and burial will be at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on Friday at 1pm.
