Jean-Pierre Julio, 77, formerly of Chichester, passed away at the Glencliff Home in Glencliff on May 22, 2018.
He was born in Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey, France, on June 26, 1940. Coming to the US in his youth, Jean-Pierre became a naturalized citizen in 1972. He was raised by his stepfather, Harold Stowe, a US serviceman during WW2, who met and married his mother Jeanne during the war. The whole family later immigrated to the states. Jean-Pierre resided most of his life in Chichester and worked at Page Belting Co. in Concord. He enjoyed knife making and working on his forge, and made custom knives for many people. He had many intellectual pursuits including chemistry, history and philosophy. Above all he loved to laugh. He was an avid conversationalist and he would strike up conversations with anyone he met. His genuine interest in others ensured that Jean-Pierre had many friends and loved ones throughout New Hampshire. His friends will have fond memories of their time with him.
He is survived by his step-sister Lynn Cross of Penacook.
A committal service will take place on Friday, June 1st at 1:00 PM in Leavitt Cemetery in Chichester. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Boscawen, is in charge of arrangements. To view an online Tribute, send condolences to the family, or for more information, visit www.phaneuf.net
