Jeanette R. Bisson, 76, of Littleton died at home Thursday, December 22, 2011 following a period of declining health.
Jeanette was born in Littleton on January 14, 1935, the daughter of the late James Sr. and Ruth (Celley) Newton. She was educated in Littleton schools and worked locally as well. She was a proud citizen of Littleton and lived nearly her entire life there.
She enjoyed playing Bingo and going camping and she adored her animals, but she especially loved time spent with her family.
Jeanette is survived by her husband of 31 years, Kenneth Bisson, whom she married in 1980 while they were living in Wyoming; a son, Joe Bisson and his wife Nancy of Littleton; daughters Joanne Ingerson and her husband Ernest of Littleton, and Jennie Bisson of North Stratford; brothers Vaughn Newton of Littleton and Willard Newton of Monroe; sisters Betsy Mardin of Lisbon and Edna Walker of Littleton; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, David Newton, and her brother, James Newton Jr.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 27th, 6-8pm at Pillsbury-Phaneuf Funeral Home, 101 Union Street in Littleton. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, December 28th at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church of Littleton, 18 Main Street. Burial will follow immediately at Glenwood Cemetery on West Main Street.
