Jeanine Rachel (Jalbert) Fecteau died peacefully in her sleep on March 26, 2026. Jeanine was born in Nashua on August 28, 1935, the fourth of six children born to Walter and Lillian (Kerouac) Jalbert.

Jeanine raised six children in her home in Merrimack and in 1976, Jeanine married the love of her life, Ron Fecteau. After Ron retired, they sold their home in Merrimack and headed for the warm climate of Cape Canaveral, Florida, where Jeanine lived in a condo community with four of her sisters and brothers. After Ron’s death in 2011, Jeanine started to spend her summers back in New Hampshire, and in 2019, she moved back permanently. In 2025, Jeanine celebrated her 90th birthday with her family and her favorite meal, lobsters and steamers.

Jeanine was predeceased by her husband, Ron, her daughter, Peggy Mullikin, her son, David Mullikin, her sister, Lorraine Diehsner and her brother, Wally Jalbert.

Jeanine is survived by her four sons, James Mullikin and his wife Deb, Walter Mullikin and his partner, Teresa, Rob Mullikin and his wife Claire, and John Mullikin and his wife Anu. Jeanine is also survived by her two daughters in law, Laura Mullikin and Cora Mullikin.

Jeanine was also blessed with 9 grandchildren, Liz Mullikin, Kathy Memic, Kristine Dasaro, Dave Mullikin, Kim Noseworthy, Kay Mullikin, Katelyn Mullikin, John Mullikin and Lily Mullikin, and 7 great grandchildren, Liam, Landon, Alex, Olivia, Lyra, Lennox and Maple.

Jeanine is also survived by her sister, Delores Carter and her brothers, Jim Jalbert and Frank Jalbert.

Jeanine enjoyed spending her free time reading nonfiction and autobiography novels. She had a love for the sunshine, thrifting, baking, seafood and especially chocolate. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who lovingly called her Meme. She adored them all and they loved her just as much.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 5 – 7 pm, with a service beginning at 6 pm, at Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester NH.
