Jeanne Leclerc passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, NH, with family by her side.
Born on June 2nd, 1931, in Buckland, Quebec, she was one of 11 children born to Charles H. Beland and Marie Elise (Fournier) Beland.
Jeanne married the love of her life, Edgar Leclerc, and they raised three children together until his passing.
During her early life, Jeanne worked in textile mills and manufactured bobbins. She went on to work for many years as an LNA at the Gale Home, who cared for elderly and aging women. Jeanne found so much joy as a caretaker and was exceptionally good at her job.
Jeanne loved chocolate with a passion and would enjoy many chocolate creations with her family.
She was an avid reader and a talented knitter.
Jeanne found great companionship with her beloved dog Ginger, and the two were inseparable.
Her faith was very important to her, and she lived her life in a way that exuded love and care for everyone around her.
Jeanne’s biggest love was her family. She spent time with her loved ones every chance she had.
She will be remembered fondly by all those who were lucky enough to know her.
Jeanne was predeceased by her loving husband, Edgar Leclerc, as well as her daughter and friend, Constance Furgal.
She is survived by two children; Edgar Leclerc, Jr., and Diana Maurice, her grandchildren; Brian Maurice, Shawn Maurice, Tina Lantz, and Tammy Hourihan, her great-grandchildren; Kalli Maurice, Kaden Lantz, Gianna Hourihan, and Matthew Hourihan, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 6pm-8pm in the West Room at Phaneuf Funeral Home located on 243 Hanover Street, Manchester NH 03104.
A Funeral Mass will be held the following day, Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 10:00AM at Sainte Marie Parish, located at 378 Notre Dame Avenue, Manchester NH 03102, with committal ceremony to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery where both she and her daughter Constance will be laid to rest.
Flowers and gifts of sympathy for Jeanne and her family may be sent to Phaneuf Funeral Home.
