Jeanne M. Levesque, 80, of 132 St. Anselms Drive, Manchester, NH died July 18, 2000 at Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Manchester on March 21, 1920, the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Marion Stella (Munroe) Levesque. For thirty years, she was a nun with the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament in the United States and Canada. She was Mother Superior at the convent in Waterville, ME and in Pueblo, Colorado. She left the order in 1965 and attended St. Anselm's College where she received at Bachelors degree in French Literature. She then received a Masters degree in Library Science from Providence College. She was the librarian at Trinity High School for fourteen years and was an assistant librarian at St. Anselm's College for ten years until her retirement. Jeanne was active at St. Anselm's College and was a member of the Manchester Choral Society. Family members include two brothers, Louis Paul Levesque and his wife Betty of Sorrento, Florida and Alfred J. Levesque and his wife Beatrice of Goffstown and Brooksville, Florida; a sister, Mrs. Marie Eugenie (Mills) Daley of Sedona, Arizona, her long-time friend and companion, Lucille Bellisle of Manchester; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Anselm's College Abbey Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
