Jeanne (Janelle) Soucy, 82, of Nashua, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Adrienne (Payeur) Janelle. Raised and educated in Manchester, Jeanne worked as a cashier in the cafeteria at St. Anselm's College for over 31 years.
A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Jeanne's family was paramount in her life. Jeanne was a selfless and generous woman, always putting the needs of others above her own. Despite her illness, Jeanne remained in high spirits and always had a joke to tell. Jeanne will be best remembered for her kind heart and love of family.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Jean-Charles Soucy, of Nashua, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage; daughter, Elaine Lambert and husband Bruce of Merrimack; son, David Soucy of Manchester; four grandchildren, Amie, Ryan, Nate, and Alexa; great granddaughter, Gabriella; brother, Romeo Janelle; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Jeanne was predeceased by her son, Thomas Soucy.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Visitation will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave., Manchester, on Thursday, March 23, from 4:00 to 8:00P.M. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Parish, 265 S. Main St., Manchester, on Friday, March 24 at 10:00A.M. followed by Entombment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
