Jeannette Juliette (Bourque) Baron , 87, of Manchester, NH passed away peacefully at her home on August 12, 2024.

Mrs. Baron was born February 6, 1937 to the late Adrien and Yvonne (Hebert) Bourque. She attended St. Marie’s High School, graduating in 1955.

Jeannette was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Memere to 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  

She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that no one could match. She brought joy no matter where she went.

Mrs. Baron was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary of The United States of America since October 2011. She was a bingo volunteer for the New England Amateur Athletic Union. 

Jeannette would spend her evenings in prayer, praying for her children and family. She was unable to attend church but remained faithful in honoring God. She enjoyed her last 2 years having her sister Helen Burke living with her to give support after the loss of her husband (Andre). She loved the company and time spent together watching game shows on TV. 

Mrs. Baron enjoyed playing cards with her family. She also enjoyed camping when her children were younger and summer weeks at the lake house on Newfound Lake with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family.

She enjoyed watching her granddaughters and grandsons playing sports, softball, baseball, soccer and gymnastics, she also enjoyed attending dance recitals to watch her granddaughters dance. Sewing and quilting for her family was a hobby she enjoyed doing.

Jeannette was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Andre (Muggsy) Baron and her three brothers, Roland, Robert and Adrien. She has three children and their spouses, Cynthia Baron (Andrew Mitchell), of Manchester, NH; Colette Baron (Douglas Maguire), of Weare, NH; John Baron (Elise Desrochers) of Manchester, NH; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. Two sisters Helen (Bourque) Burke and Lillian (Bourque) Holt. As well as many other dear family and friends.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 4 – 8 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 265 S. Main Street, in Manchester, NH. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Road, in Manchester.
