Jeannette DeSchuiteneer

Jeannette DeSchuiteneer, (Jay) 82, of Bedford, NH died on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at her residence in Bedford, NH.  

Jay was born on August 20, 1939, in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Gilbert) L’Heureux. She attended local schools and was a lifelong resident of Manchester, NH.

At the time of her employment, Jay was the owner and operator of Desjardins Jewelers, in Manchester. She was an accomplished piano player, accompanying many performances and also taught piano lessons.

She was passionate about her fine jewelry business, with much knowledge about trends and a variety of stones.  She loved flowers, gardening, boating, camping and music but most of all Jay loved spending time with her family and was a very devoted grandmother. Her furry friends, Sadie and Marco, along with all the dogs in her life, gave her much comfort and joy and Jay’s faith in St. Jude carried her throughout life.

Members of her family include; her son, Craig Trepanier and his wife Pamela, a daughter, Renee Rattigan, three grandchildren, Meredith Trepanier, Hannah Trepanier and Mathew Rattigan. She was predeceased by her husband, Martin J. DeSchuiteneer, by her three brothers, Richard L’Heureux, Edward L’Heureux, Roger L’Heureux and her sister in-law, Yolande L’Heureux.  

SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 10 – 11 AM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will follow at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel. Committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Augustin Cemetery in Manchester.   

Donations can be made to the Sisters of the Precious Blood Monastery, in memory of Mrs. DeSchuiteneer.
