Jeannette T. (Pellerin) Drouin, 77, of Manchester, passed away on October 27, 2010 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
She was born in Manchester on March 15, 1933, the daughter of Eugene and Eva (LeBlanc) Pellerin and had been a lifelong resident of the city. She attended Notre Dame de Lourdes Hospital Nursing School, graduating in 1953. She worked as a registered nurse at Notre Dame Hospital and then Catholic Medical Center for 35 years. She was a long-time parishioner of Ste. Marie Church and was a member of the Manchester Historical Society and the Currier Gallery of Art. She also volunteered with the Threshold Program at the Valley Street Jail and had been a volunteer with the City of Manchester Literacy Program. She was the widow of Emile J. Drouin who died in 1996.
In Her Life: Family members include five daughters, Denise Drouin and her husband Jeff Johnson of Warwick, RI, Janice Heathman and her husband Allan of Newbury, VT, Jacqueline Drouin of Manchester, Joanne Burwell and her husband Scott of Hooksett, and Ann Catherine Arbusto and her husband Takashi of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Damien, Emily, Adam, William, Jessica, Connor and Alexis; a brother Andre Pellerin and his wife Pauline of Hooksett; two sisters, Cecile Dupuis and her husband Sylvio, and Germaine Trisciani and her husband Richard, all of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:00 in Ste. Marie Church. Committal services will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
