Jeannine F. (Matte) Lomas, 70, of Palemetto, Florida and formerly of Manchester, NH, died at her home on November 20, 2004, after a brief battle with lung cancer. She was born in Quebec, Canada on February 21, 1934, the daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Plante) Paquet and was a resident of Manchester for most of her life. Jeannine moved to Palmetto, Florida in 1998. She worked at the Elliot Hospital for ten years and also for The Drappery Shoppe for 25 years. In Florida, Jeannine volunteered for the Women of the Moose Chapter 1225. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman B. Lomas who died in 1996, after 12 years of marriage. Family members include her son, Steve Matte, her daughter, Sylvie Dollard, both of Auburn, NH, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one step son, William Lomas of Louisiana, two step daughters; Sharon Brown of Greenland, NH and Susan McLeod of Bangor, Maine, six step grandchildren, one step great grandchild, two brothers; Roland Paquet and Jean Guy Paquet, two sisters; Louisette Paquet and Pierrette Moffet, all of Canada. SERVICES: A Memoiral Reception will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street. Manchester, NH, on Thursday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 with the service immediately following at 7:30 in the funeral home.
