Jeffrey Lee Angwin “Jeff”, 70, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at his home in Northfield, NH. Born in Concord, NH, on December 6, 1953, son of Paul H. Angwin and Rachel G. (Densmore) Angwin also of Concord.
Although attending Concord schools and living in Concord most of his life, Jeff rebuilt his Ford van into a self-contained camper to travel to the West Coast and Southern states several times before settling down in Northfield, NH. Jeff’s lifelong passion has always been building, re-building, and customizing hot rods, street rods, muscle cars, and antiques for himself and others. He built a 1968 Dodge Coronet RT for a very close friend who eventually sold it to a Mopar collector in France. Examples of his craftsmanship would be from the ground up: he took a 1934 Ford 2-door hardtop coupe and made it into a 1934 Ford 2-door roadster convertible with such detail that no one could tell the difference. He also made and handstitched the removable top for it, plus chopped and channeled the windshield stanchion posts. He also took apart a 1967 Triumph Spitfire GT6 hardtop from the ground up with his own hands. He then customized it into his own version of a 1967 Triumph, leaving only the original wooden dashboard, with which he won numerous first place trophies and awards. He also enjoyed taking his Triumph on long drives, going to car shows, cruise nights and riding his 1998 Honda Shadow American Classic Edition motorcycle up to the Weirs during Bike Week.
Jeff was a very kind, loving person, best friend, and husband. He loved all his brothers and sisters and very close friends. He liked going to his brother’s campground, helping out during the day, then sitting around the campfire at night listening to stories and perhaps telling a few.
Jeff liked his privacy but also enjoyed attending functions with family and friends. In addition, he enjoyed building huge bonfires and inviting all our neighbors, family, and friends over for a party in our back yard.
Jeff leaves his beloved wife, Georgia-Rose (Waters) Angwin; two brothers and their spouses, Paul and Norma Angwin of Concord, Peter and Rose Angwin of Laconia; two sisters, Linda Acorace of Belmont and Pamela Hardy of Concord; plus many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
