Jeffrey Michael Bolton
1955-2020
SUGAR HILL, NH - Jeffrey Michael Bolton, 65, died peacefully surrounded by his family on May 20, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born January 13, 1955 in Manchester, CT, he was the son of William and Dorothy Bolton. Jeffrey graduated from Manchester High School in CT and Manchester Community College in Respiratory Therapy. Jeff was happily married to Sharon (Ortwerth) Bolton of St. Louis, MO, his partner for life at almost 35 years. They resided in Sugar Hill, NH and Falmouth, ME.
Jeffrey had retired after a long career as head of Respiratory Therapy at Cottage Hospital and finished his career at Littleton Regional Hospital. He was fondly remembered for his loving care to patients. His days were filled with gardening and landscaping, sail boating, trail making in the backwoods, zip-lines, tree houses, hot-tubing, countless building projects (less directions the better) and washing it all down with a gin & tonic or craft beer with good friends and neighbors. He played piano and guitar by ear, passion for refurbishing wooden boats and riding his motorcycles through New England and Parkway.
His lifelong pursuit to have fun, expressive nature, and love of animals, from dogs to cats to chickens was shared with their children Ian and Anna. Experimenting, learning, creating, acting, singing and playing were central to Jeff's life and familyâ¦and appreciating nature's treasures big and small.
Survivors include his daughter Anna Bolton of Falmouth, ME: son Ian of Bangor, ME: wife Sharon of Sugar Hill, NH: sister Barbara Bolton of Middleton, CT: and brother William of Manchester, CT.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy, and his father, William.
All who knew Jeffrey were touched by his compassionate care and his zest for life.
The family wishes to thank New England Cancer Center in Scarborough, ME, Dr. Christian Thomas for his ongoing support and Care, as well as Littleton Regional Healthcare for tremendous care over the years.
A private ceremony for the family will be held in the Florida Keys. A celebration of Jeffrey's life will be announced at a later date.
