Jeffrey Dean Hardy, 60, of Litchfield, passed away peacefully at home on October 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He is the devoted husband of Lisa Garland with whom he shared 2 decades together.
Jeff was born in Manchester on February 12, 1962, to Curtis and Joan (Hutchins) Hardy. He was a master automotive craftsman and passionate about fixing cars. He notably painted cars for several celebrities including Reggie Jackson, J. Geils, and Roy Orbison. He had an eye for a detailed paint job and excellent chrome work. He couldn’t resist a good smoke show with a classic car. He loved to play the guitar and bass and enjoyed building his own guitars. When he played music he liked to play it loud enough to feel it through his entire body. He loved the mountains and enjoyed canoeing, fly fishing, camping, and taking yearly trips to Bar Harbor when he could. He was a man who could build a good campfire and relax by its warm glow all night long. He loved riding and working on his motorcycle. He had a talent for cooking and liked to share his creations with his loved ones. Jeff was truly a jack of all trades and would always find a new project to keep himself busy.
Jeff leaves behind his partner Lisa Garland, son Travis Hardy of Manchester, NH, stepchildren Adam Cappella of Londonderry, NH, and Jenni (Cappella) Ellacott of Detroit, MI; grandchildren Ryan Bussey, Rowan Hardy, and Dahryan Cappella; sisters Diana and Sandy, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
