Jeffrey A. Wherry, 73, of Manchester, passed away on Sunday February 25, 2024 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack with his family by his side.
He was born in Yakima, WA on April 7, 1950, the son of the late Leslie and Rose (Wert) Wherry. He worked for many years as the Parts Department Manager at AutoFair Ford. He was a member of Ste. Marie Parish. The greatest joys of his life were his faith and his family. He kept a flower garden for many years and always had a book by his side. He enjoyed listening to music, watching auto racing, and admiring classic cars.
Family members include his wife, Vicki (Kesterson) Wherry, whom he married in 1968; a son, Paul Wherry and his wife Rebecca of Steubenville, OH, and their ten children: Elizabeth and her husband Luke, TheresaMarie, Patrick, Clare, Peter, Kathryn, Margaret, Bernadette, Joseph, and Francis; two daughters, Tanya Paiva and her husband Jim of Manchester and their six children: Katharine and her husband Trevor, Theresa, Joshua, Isabel, Madaleine and Samuel; and Lisa McKenna and her husband Brian of Candia and their six children, Julia and her husband Connor, Emma, Abigail, Laura, Ethan, and Joseph; beloved family member Katie Gillis and her husband Jason of Dover and their daughter Rickella; and three great grandchildren: Kaylee, Nathan, and Florence.
Calling hours will be held at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Thursday from 5 to 7PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 at Ste. Marie Parish. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
