Jennie Santy Blodgett, 89, died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Weeks Memorial Hospital.
She was born the daughter of Albert and Grace (Olcott) Santy on November 17, 1920 in Landaff, NH. She was a graduate of Lisbon High School and LPN certification in Berlin. She had taught religious ed. classes and was a past Girl Scout Leader. She had worked as an AT& T telephone operator and also worked in the resort industry until she was 49, when she became a private care nurse until retirement in 1996.
She was an avid traveler as well as reader and enjoyed her crossword puzzles. She loved blueberry muffins, strawberry ice cream, trout from the fishing camp, and her African violets.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ernest and Joanne Blodgett of Fairfax, VT and Randall and Patricia Blodgett of Troy, NH, daughter Janice Hewett of Lancaster, NH., three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
SERVICES -- The will be a Christian Wake Service Tuesday, December 15th at 6:15 pm at Keller & Pillsbury Funeral Home in Littleton with Rev. Fr. Marcel Martel officiating with calling hours to follow until 8pm. The family will have a private committal service at Grove Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
