Jennie M. L. (Aubin) Carignan, age 73, of Claremont, formerly of Manchester, NH died unexpectedly at her home on November 12, 2009. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Carignan who died in 1991. She was born December 18, 1935 in Fitchburg, MA, daughter of the late Armand and Jenie (Chaisson) Aubin. Though born in Massachusetts, she moved to New Hampshire as a young girl and resided here for most of her life. Jennie was a long time communicant at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Manchester. She enjoyed various crafts including quilting, embroidery. She is remembered for her handmade cards and chocolates. Jennie had a love of animals but especially loved cats. She is survived by 4 sons: Jim Carignan of Claremont, John Carignan of Manchester, Jeff Carignan of Manchester, Jason Carignan of Portland, ME; a daughter: Julie Carignan of Columbus, OH; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Jennie is predeceased by a son Joseph C. Carignan. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 4:00 � 7:00pm in the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 19 at 10:00am in the St. Anthony of Padua Church, 172 Belmont Street, Manchester, burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery, Manchester, Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter, P.O.
