Jennifer A. Cheney, 16, of 67 Warren Ave., Goffstown, died Thursday evening May 18, 2000 in Barnstead as a result of injuries sustained from an automobile accident. She was born in Manchester on August 8, 1983, the daughter of Rodney and Diane (Lafleur) Cheney and had been a lifelong resident of Goffstown. Jennifer was a Junior at Goffstown High School and was the Assistant Manager of the Baseball Team and Hockey Team. She was a member of the College Partnership at New Hampshire College. She was a parishioner of Ste. Marie Church and active with the church Youth Group. She had been employed at Macy's. Jennifer's favorite place to be was at her cottage on Lake Ossipee with her family and friends. Family members, in addition to her parents of Goffstown, include her maternal grandfather, Gerald Lafleur of Manchester, her paternal grandparents, Paul and Pearl (Pennock) Cheney of Franklin; her brother, Kevin Cheney of Goffstown; and uncles, aunts and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Lillian (Ducharme) Lafleur who died in 1995. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St. on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday morning at 11:30 in Ste. Marie Church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
