Jennifer Laura (Wheeler) Paquin, passed away peacefully at Darthmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on June 20, 2024 following a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. Jenny was 37 years old and the loving wife of Stephen Paquin and mother to Laura, age 7 and twins Hannah and Mason, age 3. Steve and the children were Jenny’s top priority and she always put them first. Steve and Jenny met at Central High School at age 14 and never looked back.
Jenny was a graduate of Keene State College with a degree in early childhood education and was a kindergarten teacher at Gossler Park Elementary School in Manchester for more than ten years. She forged a strong relationship with her Gossler family and loved her students. Jenny was a 2025 teacher of the year nominee. Many of you knew her as Jen but to her family, she will always be Jenny.
Jenny was a bright light and lit up every room with her broad smile. She was kind, caring and compassionate. Jenny loved the outdoors especially camping with her family. Jenny loved her life as a mom and wife. She was so proud of Steve’s accomplishments and how her children are developing their own personalities. She also enjoyed a good game of Phase 10, Catch Phrase, and Cribbage.
In addition to Steve and the children, Jenny is survived by her parents Susan and Joseph Wheeler of Manchester, a sister, Ashley Kapinos (Brendon) of West Greenwich, RI, and a brother, Nicholas of Manchester. She is also survived by her in-laws, Jane and Michael Paquin of Goffstown and Steve’s brothers, Jonathan (Erin) of Chester and David (Brigitte) of Dunbarton.
During Jenny’s journey with cancer, she learned how special she was with the outpouring of kindness and generosity of her coworkers and treatment team. There are too many to name but special mention goes to the faculty and leadership at Gossler Park Elementary School for their overwhelming generosity. To the cancer team at DHMC, especially Becca, and the team at DHMC Neuro Critical Care Unit, who went above and beyond the call of duty.
Jenny is no longer with us in the physical form but she remains deep within our heart.
