Jeremy F. Haumann

Jeremy Fitch Haumann, 35, of E. Dummerston, VT, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, after succumbing to complications from juvenile diabetes. He was born April 15, 1979, in Port Jefferson, NY, the son of Alan B. Haumann of Townshend and Barbara Fitch Haumann of Guilford.

Jeremy spent his first two years in South Beach, NY. The family then moved to Mahomet, IL, in 1981. He graduated from Mahomet-Seymour High School in 1997 where he excelled academically and was a member of the International Thespian Society. He attended college at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Castleton State College in Castleton, VT, and subsequently Arizona State University where he received a B.S. degree in Applied Psychology in December 2005. He was employed for over 6 1/2 years at New Chapter in Brattleboro. Jeremy was a deeply caring person with a big heart for others. He was also a talented artist.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Rudolph and Harriet Haumann, and his maternal grandparents, William H. and D. Virginia Fitch.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Jonathan Haumann and his wife Caitlin of Brattleboro, his beloved 12-year-old daughter, Anneliese Faith Wall Haumann, and her mother, Elizabeth Wall Haumann, both of Bainbridge Island, WA; a step-mother, Sharon Haumann of Townshend; paternal step-grandmother, Lorraine Haumann of Bluffton, SC as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 5 PM to 7 PM at KER-WESTERLUND FUNERAL HOME, 57 High St., Brattleboro, VT. Burial will be held at Christ Church Cemetery in Guilford on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10 AM. A Memorial Service will follow at 3 PM at the First Congregational UCC in West Brattleboro, followed by a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to an education account that has been set up for his daughter at River Valley Credit Union.
