JEREMY FRANCIS REGNIER
LITTLETON, NH Jeremy Francis Regnier, 22, of Littleton, died suddenly Oct. 13, 2004, outside Baghdad, Iraq, as the result of hostile fire. He was a U.S. Army specialist holding the rank of E-4 and was part of the First Cavalry Division of Fort Hood, Texas.
Regnier was born Aug. 14, 1982, in Springfield, Mass., the son of Kevin Regnier of Littleton and Tammy Regnier of Lakeside, Calif.
He moved to Littleton with his family seven years ago and attended Littleton High School for part of his freshman year, as well as his sophomore and junior years and later obtained a GED. He also attended Agawam High School in Agawam, Mass.
Before enlisting in the Army, he worked at Hitchiner Manufacturing in maintenance, and at Genfoot, Inc. as a machinist, both in Littleton.
He wished to be remembered by the mantra, I lived, I served, and I died, and was dedicated to the First Cavalry, which deemed itself, the first team. He was very family oriented. He also loved the outdoors and sports, including hunting and fishing. He was a big fan of the New York Yankees.
He was predeceased by his great-grandparents, Wilfred and Florence Regnier, and by an uncle, Joseph Velozo.
He leaves his father and stepmother, Kevin and Shawn Regnier of Littleton; a sister, Amanda, of Littleton; and a brother, Nicholas, of California. He also leaves paternal grandparents Edgar and Virginia Regnier of Agawam, Mass.; maternal grandparents Pat and Richard Dudley of West Springfield, Mass.; six aunts, Sandra and her husband Jan Sadowski of Agawam, Mass., Linda and her husband Kenny Wojcik of Springfield, Mass., Sherry Velozo of Agawam, Mass., Kelly and her husband Steve Shenas of Stuart, Fla., Colleen and her husband Eric Raey of Agawam, Mass., and Meghan Dudley of Springfield, Mass. He also leaves two uncles, Kip and his wife Mary Regnier of Westfield, Mass., and Kim Regnier of Agawam, Mass.; 13 nieces and nephews and many cousins.
SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m., at the New Life
Assembly of God Church in Littleton. The Rev. Ernest Wilkins and the Rev. Lyn McIntosh will officiate. Interment will take place at Glenwood Cemetery in Littleton.
