Jessie A Wheeler, 84, of Bow, passed away peacefully at CRVNA Hospice House May 24th following a brief struggle with pneumonia.
Jessie was born in Concord May 29, 1928. She was one of nine children born to Alexander and Elizabeth Jean (Stronack) Gifford. She was raised in Concord, resided in Dunbarton for several years and then moved to Bow in 1964. Jessie was a loving and supportive wife and a homemaker and mother of five who also proudly helped raise dozens of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Though motherhood was Jessie's main focus, she still managed to find time to deal in antiquities with her husband, drive a bus for special needs children in Bow, cook delicious meals for her family and also get her hands in the dirt working in her flower gardens.
Jessie is survived by her four children, Cyrus C. Wheeler III and his wife, Shirley, David Wheeler and his wife, Cathy, Michael Wheeler and his wife, Susan and Jean Archambault and her husband, Steven; her sisters, Helen Knight and Barbara Warriner; and her brother, Robert Gifford. She was predeceased in 2001 by her husband of 64 years, Cyrus C. Wheeler, Jr. and also by her daughter, Susan Lee Wheeler in 2007.
The family will receive visitors Monday, June 3rd, 10:00-11:00am at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 172 King Street in Boscawen. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 in the funeral home and burial will follow immediately at Evans Cemetery in Bow.
