Jo'An Aldrich immigrated to the United States from Great Britain just after WWII. With her daughter Francesca in hand, they walked through the gates of Ellis Island on April 6th, 1947 ready to begin a new life in a new world.
Jo'An was born the first of four children to William Edge and Eleanor Radford on March 23, 1924 in Manchester, England. After a long illness, Jo'An passed away quietly in the early morning hours of September 15, 2011 with her daughter Francesca and granddaughter Kristin by her side.
Moving to Manchester, NH in 1970, Jo'An spent those early years working in real estate. A woman of many talents she found her true niche, her true calling amongst the stars. She taught and mentored many through the realm of astrology and gave hope and guidance to those in need. She was fun, she was happy, she was loved and she will be deeply missed.
Jo'An is survived by one brother, Gerard Edge of Surrey, England as well as her daughter Francesca Tabor-Miolla and her husband, Raymond Miolla of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Grandchildren Kristin Tabor-Moore and Jason Tabor, who along with their respective families both live in Lexington, Kentucky. Jo'An's daughter Liz Geary resides in Manchester, NH as do Liz's children Matthew Mitchell and Ami Mitchell.
A Farewell Celebration and Remembrance Service will be held in Jo'An's honor on Saturday, November 5th at 11:00 a.m., at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. Her ashes will remain with her family until which time she will be returned to her birthplace in Manchester, England. Her family has named a star after Jo'An and she can be found in the constellation of Phoenix.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers or donations â a simple prayer.
