Joan G. Butcher

Joan G. Butcher, 86, of Manchester, NH died on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Bedford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Bedford, NH.  

Mrs. Butcher was born on February 10, 1936, in Sanford, ME, the daughter of the late Vernor and Della M. (Dearborn) Gerrish. She was raised in Lebanon, ME and attended local schools.  

She was employed as a nurse and worked at Green Pastures Nursing Home, in Dover, NH. She was especially proud of her two year nursing degree.

Joan was an adept genealogist and also enjoyed cooking, quilting and knitting.   

Members of her family include; her son, Gordon L. Butcher, three brothers, Gilbert Gerrish, Phillip Gerrish, Vernor (Pete) Gerrish, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roy M. Butcher, Jr., her son, Michael A. Butcher, and her brother, Martin Gerrish.   

SERVICES: At the request of Joan, there are no calling hours or services.
